AIR DUCTS AND AIR HANDLERS CLEANING

We offer You a comprehensive service which includes evaluation of system condition, cleaning, disinfection and bacteriological examination.

Description of the technology

1. VISUAL INSPECTION OF THE AIR DUCTS

performed before and after the cleaning process, with the use of a mobile robot equipped with cameras. Recorded video material will be attached to the final acceptance protocol.

2. MECHANICAL REMOVAL OF CONTAMINANTS

performed with the set of tools consisting of rotating brushes (of various size) installed on a flexible, rotary shaft (of adjustable length), which shrug off contaminants accumulated in the duct, and of a vacuum system with necessary filters (bag filters, grease filters and absolute HEPA filters) that remove contaminants from the air duct.

3. CERTIFIED CHEMICALS

all professional chemicals we use to disinfect and remove contaminants (also in the case of grease ducts) and bacteria are certified by the Polish National Institute of Hygiene. Depending on the needs of our clients, we may use the products of several renowned manufacturers that are available in Poland. On the client’s demand, we are also able to import other chemicals.

4. ACCESS PANELS

they enable free access to the air ducts and are produced in accordance with the ordinance of the Minister of Infrastructure and with the “Ventilation Systems Construction and Commissioning Requirements”, issued by the Systems Engineering Research and Development Center INSTAL in Warsaw. We use panels manufactured only by the most renowned Polish producers.

5. BACTERIOLOGICAL EXAMINATION

on the client’s demand, we may collect samples for bacteriological examination, performed at the accredited laboratory, operating in accordance with our constant cooperation agreement.

6. SYSTEM ELEMENTS CLEANING

moreover, our high pressure equipment (Nilfisk ALTO™ - POSEIDON 4-30, Kärcher) allows us to clean the disassembled elements of ventilation systems such as grills or diffusers, using small amounts of water and chemicals dispensed by the devices.

Framework scope of works:

  1. Suspended ceiling disassembly and assembly (if required by the ceiling structure).
  2. Examination of the ventilation system before cleaning.
  3. Protection of the rooms, devices, equipment and passageways.
  4. Preparation of the inspection openings in the ducts and installation of the access panels approved for use in public utility facilities. Each installed panel will be tagged, numbered and marked on the post-completion documentation.
  5. Mechanical cleaning of the air ducts with the use of a rotating brush – LIFA company technology. The brushes are specially designed not to damage the cleaned surfaces. Dust is removed with an appropriate vacuum set with filters that remove contaminants.
  6. Scope of works includes cleaning of grills and diffusers, guide vanes, fire dampers, dampers and other regulatory elements installed in the system.
  7. Air handlers cleaning.
  8. Disinfection of the ventilation systems with the use of chemicals certified by the Polish National Institute of Hygiene.
  9. Cleaning of the rooms after each working day.
  10. Microbiological examination performed after the system is cleaned and disinfected. We recommend to collect at least three samples from each system – one at the distance of 4 – 10m from the handler, one from the main duct and one from the branch near a grill/diffuser.
  11. Removal of waste produced during the air ducts and handlers cleaning and disinfection.
  12. Preparation of the post-completion documentation: view of the ducts recorded on a CD (material presenting the view before and after the cleaning and disinfection) will be provided to the Investor before the final acceptance protocol is signed.

Our personnel took part in the preparation and execution of similar works at numerous public utility facilities such as trade halls, health service buildings, hotels, restaurants and offices.

All employees are fit to work at heights and participated in health and safety and occupational risk assessment trainings. Most of them possess operator’s certificates in groups 1. and 2., in accordance with the regulations presented in the ordinance of the Minister of Labour and Social Policy of 28th April 2003, on the detailed rules concerning the professional skills of employees involved in the operation of equipment, systems and grids (Journal of Laws no. 89, item 828 and no. 129, item 1184 and of 2005 r. no. 141, item 1189) on the maintenance of ventilation, air conditioning and cooling devices, regarding their use, maintenance and repairs and on the use, maintenance and repairs of devices, systems and power grids generating, transforming, transmitting and consuming electrical energy. Managers possess certificates of supervision in both aforementioned groups.

The level of system contamination will be examined at our expense, with the use of a mobile monitoring device with a camera. It will help you to make a decision to clean your ventilation systems.

We are ready to perform the inspection at a time convenient to you and to present the price of the proposed scope of works.

Enviromental System Inspection

Enviromental System Inspection

ESI - Environmental System Inspection:

The ESI covers all types of onboard refrigeration systems. These including air-conditioning, provision plants and self-contained marine air-conditioning units. It can also include cargo cooling systems.

Each individual system is tested for leaks. In addition, all safety features and pressure switches are tested, and the condition of piping and insulation is visually inspected along with all other system components. The machinery status is documented and identified, and defects are reported together with recommended course of action.

Each system is then put through a running test, where all parameters are recorded. Minor leaks (that can be repaired in 10 minutes) are repaired on the spot. A system report is produced and a leak tightness certificate can be issued according to each vessel's requirements.

The major benefits are the savings that are achieved by reducing refrigerant consumption, in addition to a professional and technical overview of the vessel's onboard systems. This enables the ship operator to carry out the necessary maintenance work before costly system breakdowns  occur.

The ESI is a valuable pre-inspection for a retrofit quotation. If we are awarded the retrofit order, the ESI invoice is deducted from the retrofit invoice.

BENEFITS

  • Identifies system leaks not easily detected by ship's crew
  • Reduces refrigerant consumption caused by leaks
  • Pre-empts possible system failures due to a full running test and inspection of each system
  • Helps protect the environment from ozone depletion
  • Meets various regulatory requirements for annual inspections
  • Certificates conform to EPA, IMO, STEK, SWEDAC, ISM and other class requirements

Underwater surveys of ships and watercrafts

Underwater surveys of ships and watercrafts

Underwater surveys of ships and watercrafts

The underwater surveys are carried out by divers with expertise in ships structure and materials used in the shipbuilding industry. Our workers personnel have the right skills, knowledge and experience necessary to determine and detect the damage of the shell plating.

The purpose of a survey is the evaluation of the technical condition of the hull bottom:

  • periodic classification survey
  • hull fouling degree
  • technical condition assessment of the ship before sale/ purchase
  • technical condition assessment of the ship substituting the docking survey
  • technical condition assessment of the ship before docking
  • assessment of the possible damages after collision with another craft or stranding

The surveys are carried out using modern cameras allowing to obtain a high quality image in order to unequivocally detect possible plating cracks or welds damages.

The two-way communication system (CCTV) ensures a permanent communication of the diver with the surveying inspector in order to synchronize their activities and obtain a full technical image of the ship allowing the assessment of its technical condition.

We have our own vessels for transportation and inspections outside the port. We have an ultrasonic thickness gauge (Cygnus Underwater MC-CU / B) for underwater measurements of the thickness of steel.

The survey closes with a descriptive report on a form approved by the classification inspector and video documentation.

Our experience in the underwater surveys are confirmed by the certificates issued by the following Classification Societies:

  • Bureau Veritas
  • DNV
  • GL
  • Lloyd's Register
